Bordeaux Futures 2011 Exclusive – Interview with Château Marquis d’Alesme

Millesima revisits owner Nathalie Perrodo Samani, and General Manager Marjolaine Maurice de Coninck of Chateau Marquis d’Alesme. We saw their other property Chateau Labegorce last week, here we take a look at Marquis d’Alesme, a Classified Third Growth Margaux estate under the same management.

Labegorce has 50% merlot and is a wine very easy to drink at a young age, more based on fruit and satisfaction. At Marquis d’Alesme, we have 70%  cabernet sauvignon grapes which benefitted from a nice prolonged growing season, and a very beautiful level of maturation on the plateau.

Robert Parker recently gave Chateau Marquis d’Alesme 2011 a rating of 85-87.
