While technically not a classified growth, most people consider La Mission Haut-Brion to be of the same caliber as its neighboring estate, First Growth Haut-Brion. A small street separates the two vineyards, which are located in the heart of Pessac, a suburb of Bordeaux, and both estates are owned by Domaine Clarence Dillon SA.
