California Wine Tasting
Foxglove Chardonnay is produced by the dynamic Varner brothers from the Central Coast of California and offers up excellent value for the quality. This wine is filled with rich, tropical fruit flavors of peach, apricot and melon. It is full in body and texture, but does not go through malolactic fermentation and therefore does not have an oaky palate.
Hardin Cabernet Sauvignon is deep, rich and plush with classic Napa Cab fruit, it drinks like a wine costing 2-3 times as much! This wine was sourced from one of Napa Valley’s long time “cult” producers and has had tremendous success with every Napa Valley wine lover.
Cabernet Sauvignon is the heart of the wine program at Larkmead Vineyard. 110 acres of land is divided into three blocks where seven different varieties grow. Cabernet Sauvignon grapes have a dedicated block on the estate with the rarest of soil profiles set atop the highest point on the property, allowing for their signature wine to dazzle. Notes of red and black bramble fruit dominate with hints of bittersweet chocolate lead to an earthy yet fruity palate.
The Crane Assembly is centered around a unique eight-acre vineyard located in the gravel rich soils of southern St. Helena. Dave Phinney of Orin Swift and The Prisoner has joined forces with friends and colleagues to craft wines from a unique and historic portion of what is known today as the Dr. Crane Vineyard. Disciples – one of three signature wines produced – is a blend of Zinfandel and Petite Sirah. Less than 4,000 cases are produced of this spicy yet fruity wine.
