Pre-Thanksgiving Wine Tasting
Ridge Vineyards Three Valleys 2016 is a delicious blend of Zinfandel, Carignane, Petit Sirah and Grenache that reflect the unique terroir from 8 select vineyards in Sonoma. The wine shows beautiful dark fruit layered with spice, a touch of bright acidity and minerality.
Bodega Garzon has become known as Uruguay’s wine ambassador to the world. The Tannat Reserva 2016 we will be tasting tonight is a red wine made exclusively with Tannat, the region’s flagship grape variety. Originally from France, Tannat achieves a wonderful expression in Uruguay, where it makes velvety, smooth wines with a strong local character.
Hugel Pinot Blanc 2015 is an extremely approachable and popular wine from Alsace. In fact, Pinot Blanc is the most widely planted grape variety in the region today! This dry wine has crisp notes of pear with a refreshing and round lemon finish.
Domaine Faiveley La Framboisiere Mercurey Village 2014 comes from a 27 acre vineyard, La Framboisiere, located in the heart of Mercurey’s 1er Crus to the northeast of the village. It has notes of raspberry and cherry with a hint of earth – a classic Pinot Noir perfect for the chilly nights ahead.
