Pura Fe Carmenere 2015
Antiyal was started by Alvaro Espinoza and his family in Chile in 1996. The label produces organic and bio-dynamic wines that reflect “true flavors from the earth” surrounding the estate in Chile’s Maipo Valley. The Pura Fe label is an immaculate conception of 88% Carmenere and 12% Cabernet Sauvignon. Medium range tannin, plenty of spice, and ripe red fruit send the palate into blissful euphoria. Structured earth and mouthfeel make this a perfect food pairing wine. Enjoy with a creamy manchego cheese or short ribs and sautéed portabella mushrooms!
Cesca Vicent 2013
Cesca Vicent is the brain-child of Francesca Vicent, a 5th generation producer practicing organic growing in the heart of Priorat, in the town of Gratallops, Spain. Vicent is a part of a lineage of growers that date back as far as the 16th century. This Spanish red blend of Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah exudes elegant spice, supple dark red fruit flavors, and ample notes of earth white pepper. Just in time as the leaves begin to change color and weather starts to cool, uncork a bottle and pair with hearty stew or late summer BBQ!
