Chateau Branaire-Ducru owes its name to Jean-Baptiste Braneyre, who purchased the domain in 1680. The Classified 4th Growth belongs to Patrick Maroteaux, who has owned the property since 1988. Patrick strives to produce exceptional wines by manipulating the soil and using his know-how. The vineyard of 50 hectares has 4 red grape varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. The vines, 35 years old on average, are planted on a terroir typical of the Medoc with gravel.

3rd Growth Classified in 1855, Chateau Marquis d’Alesme has a rare and unique history among the vineyards on the left bank of Bordeaux. Francois d’Alseme Esquire, who was the advisor of King Henry III, created the domain in 1585. It was not until 1585 that the first vines were planted. The estate has been passed down from generation to generation. Alesme has been the owner since 2006, and the Perrodo family has stopped working on the modernisation since 2015. The property is 15 hectares, on a gravel, clay, and sandy soil. The grape varieties are: 63% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and 1% Cabernet Franc. These grape varieties make each vintage exceptional.
