Applications for the 2016 Blog Awards are Now Open!
We are thrilled to announce the judges who will select the finalists for the 2016 Blog Awards.
As a reminder, we’ve made some changes to this year’s Awards. The 2016 edition has two zones: the USA and Europe. The two zones have the same 3 categories, each with separate winners and prizes. There will be 4 finalists in each category in each region. All submitted articles must be in English.

- Bordeaux Wine Travel

To select the finalists, we’ve invited two prominent Bordeaux wine professionals to evaluate the applications.
Xavier Sanchez
Originally from Salamanca Spain, Xavier Sanchez is the International Sales and Marketing Manager of AXA Millésimes. AXA Millésimes is a Bordeaux-based company operating seven prestigious châteaux in Bordeaux and around the world: Pichon Baron (Pauillac), Pibran (Pauillac), Petit Village (Pomerol), Suduiraut (Sauternes), Quinta do Noval (Portugal), Disznókö (Hungry), and Domaine de l’Arlot (Nuits-Saint-Georges, Burgundy). This position follows a rich career in the wine industry, during which he also spent six years as the director of one of the most important négociants (wine traders), as well as the sales director and general manager of several Spanish wine bodegas for over 12 years. His passion and enthusiasm for his trade is infectious.

Nicolas de Rouyn wears many hats. He is the editor in chief of Bettane+Desseauve, a wine guide written by the top wine journalists in France. A respected wine writer, he has contributed to numerous publications and has his own wine blog, Bon Vivant. In his own words, it is a blog “dedicated to wine and the world of wine, otherwise called the mondovino. And also everything that goes with wine: good food, travel, pats on the back.” His blog has regularly made best-of lists since its creation.
