January 29th: The True Meaning of Terroir in Bordeaux
On Thursday, January 29th, Millesima USA General Manager Hortense Bernard will join two renowned Bordelais wine experts in explaining The True Meaning of Terroir in Le Skyroom in the FIAF. What does the concept of “terroir” really mean? Specialists will demonstrate how the wine is influenced by everything from the soil to the people working the land at some of the best vineyards in the world. Come together with Emeline Borie of Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste as she uncovers the importance of the deep gravel soils of Pauillac, one of Bordeaux’ most prestigious appellations, Wilfrid Groizard of Chateau Latour-Martillac who will demonstrate what makes Pessac-Leognan wines robust, complex and arguably the most elegant in Bordeaux, and our very own Hortense Bernard who will take us through the stunning hillsides of Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion, showcasing the finesse of the wines from Chateau Clarisse.
Benefit from learning this mysterious yet crucial term from the people who know it best, while sampling some of the most exceptional examples of its impact.
