– James Molesworth, Wine Spectator
One of the most successful professional female golfers of all time, Cristie Kerr has two additional passions: fine wine and fighting breast cancer. Touring the world on the pro golf circuit, Christie developed a unique love affair with wine and would one day like to become a sommelier. After watching her grandmother, mother and aunt fight breast cancer, Cristie sought a unique way to combine her passions: Thus Curvature was born. Playing off both Christie’s name and a woman’s unique curve, the sale of each bottle of these limited production wines goes to provide funding for breast cancer research and treatment programs.
In partnership with Pride Mountain vineyards and two amazingly strong women, Suzanne-Pride Bryan and Sally Johnson, Curvature produces critically acclaimed Chardonnays and Cabernet Sauvignons. Dating back to 1869, Pride Mountain is located close to the Napa/Sonoma county border line on Spring Mountain. Family owned since 1989, Pride Mountain today is led by Suzanne Pride-Bryan, a breast cancer survivor. Driven by an instance of excellence that begins in the vineyards, award winning winemaker Sally Johnson also comes from a family touched by cancer. Sourcing grapes both from Pride Mountain vineyards and the Napa Valley floor, Sally strives to craft all of the Curvature wines with balance, elegance and depth. Launched in 2006 the Curvature label bears the mark of three crescent moons reflecting the three strong women who stand behind each bottle.
