Te Awa Sauvignon Blanc
New Zealand 2009
If you are a fan of Sauvignon Blanc, you will definitely enjoy this one from New Zealand. This wine also contains some Semillon which gives it something different from his neighbor. It is a well balanced wine with complementary fruit, acidity, and minerality.
It has enough complexity to be enjoyed either as refreshing aperitif or to accompany a dinner. Do not hesitate to give it a try as you will not be disappointed by its style.
Château La Fleur Peyrabon
Pauillac 2006
This month, I decided to pay tribute to Bordeaux, the city I come from. This Cru Bourgeois from Pauillac (on the left bank of Bordeaux) is great example of what is an affordable Bordeaux and 2006 shows really nicely now and is ready to enjoy.
This wine is at its best with a steak and I should not say this (as I am French and we should know that red wine and cheese aren’t the best pairing) with cheese such as camembert!
