Celebrate Bastille Day at Millesima with a tasting of the splendid 2009 Burgundies of Joseph Drouhin
Thursday, July 14 from 6 to 8 pm
The top wines of Joseph Drouhin have just arrived in New York – you can be one of the first to taste an impressive quartet and experience the quality of this heralded vintage.
- Saint-Veran 2009 – A delightfully clean, elegant rendition of this favorite from Southern Burgundy that is vinified without oak – a delicately scented dry white, perfect for summer!
- Chassagne-Montrachet 2009 – This classic Côte d’Or white is fine and flowery with a touch of ripe lemon along with the enticing complexity and texture associated with this famous Burgundy
- Côte de Beaune 2009 – Not to be confused with a Côte de Beaune-Villages, which is a blend of numerous communes, this Côte de Beaune comes from the estate of Joseph Drouhin and represents declassified premier cru from the village of Beaune – a wine known by insiders as an exceptional value
- Chambolle-Musigny 2009 – Chambolle is one of the most seductive of all red Burgundies, and this village-level example stood out at early tastings of the Drouhin 2009’s – the aroma offers scented red berries and the palate is particularly lovely and well-integrated for such a young wine
These and other French wines will be on sale on Bastille Day!
