If you followed last week’s 2010 Bordeaux Futures price releases, you may be inclined to think that all Bordeaux is over-the-top expensive. Over the next few days, we’ll post some of the best value-for-money wines in each appellation.
Today, we’ll tackle Saint Estephe, situated at the top of the Left Bank. Roger Bohmrich makes a number of recommendations in his video (posted above), including Cos d’Estournel, Lafon-Rochet, and Les Ormes de Pez. Chateau Phelan Segur
Another Cru Bourgeois, this 64-hectare vineyard neighbors Montrose and Calon-Ségur. It received high marks from Wine Advocate (90-92), Jancis Robinson (18), James Suckling (92-93) and Decanter (17).
